THE UNIFIED FIELD RADIO AT THE HAL CON SCIENCE FICTION CONVENTION.
Yes It's true, I wore my CKDU 88.1 FM t-shirt in full form only to be roasted by giants flanking my sides at this year's 2010 Hal-Con science fiction convention in beautiful coastal Halifax, Nova Scotia. Thanks to Mr. Bill MacLean of Haligonia Sports and Mr. Steve Betts for a great laugh but also for some thought provoking dialogue involving Nova Scotia spooky history, the unexplained, as well as explorations into some of the guests we've had on the show such as Canada's former Minster of National Defense the Hon. Paul Hellyer and nuclear physicist Stanton Friedman. The event had some amazing vendors, great speakers such as Walter Koenig from the original Star Trek series and an array of amazing costumes, some of which made me cringe in shame. But this is what it's all about. Utilizing our creative spirit to create entirely new world's that transcend the 9-5. I had a really great time and I want to thank the lovely folks at CKDU Dalhouse who managed to rustle me up a guest pass at the very last minute.
So if you were ever curious as to the face behind the voice now's your chance to have a look-see. Be careful. I'm easy on the eyes!
Enjoy.
